Carus School partners with the Canby Center to provide lunches and snacks for students to take home over the weekend. Students enrolled in the Backpack Buddies program receive a sack each Friday containing two breakfasts and two snacks. If you are interested in your child benefitting from this program, please contact her/his teacher or Mrs. Ackerman.
With the help of support staff and community volunteers, Carus School has implemented an on-site clothing and resource closet available to students in need. We have gently used or new winter coats, shoes, socks, and lots of other clothing items in various sizes ready to be passed along! If your child is in need of clothing or toiletries, please reach out to Mrs. Ackerman.
Children of Incarcerated Parents
In partnership with Northwest Family Services, Carus provides an annual support group for students who have been impacted by the incarceration of a family member or loved one. If you feel that your child could benefit from being a part of this amazing program, please contact Mrs. Ackerman.
